The Company was first established in Jakarta under the name "Regional Development Bank PT Djakarta Raya" as set forth in the deed of Limited Liability Company Bank Djakarta Raya Regional Development (Regional Development Bank PT Djakarta Raya) No. 30 dated 11 April 1961 made by and before Eliza Pondaag SH, Notary in Jakarta, which has obtained authorization from the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia in Decision Letter No.. JA5/31/13 on 11 April 1961 and was registered in a register at the Office of Jakarta District Court under the stars. 1274 dated June 26, 1961 and was published in Supplement No. 206 Official Gazette of Republic of Indonesia. 41 dated June 1, 1962.
In order to adjust to the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 13 of 1962 on Basic Provisions of the Regional Development Bank, the Company's legal status changed and diverted from the Regional Development Bank Company Limited Jakarta Raya became the Regional Development Bank DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation, Jakarta - Jakarta No. 6 of 1978 dated August 21, 1978 on the Jakarta Regional Development Bank (BPD Jaya) which was approved by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in Decree No. Pem.10/87/1-858-sk. dated December 5, 1978 and promulgated in the Gazette No. Region of Jakarta. 12 of 1979 Series D No.. 11 dated May 2, 1979 as well as the Regional Regulation No.. 1 of 1993 dated January 15, 1993 by changing the basis of capital amounting to Rp Rp300.000.000.000 Rp50.000.000.000 until the date of May 5, 1999 and the date of May 6, 1999 turned into a Limited Company with capital of Rp700.000.000.000 .
The amendment was approved by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation No. DKI Jakarta. 1 of 1999 dated 1 February 1999 with a deed made by, and before Notary Aaron Kamin, SH. 4, dated May 6, 1999 and was approved by the Minister of Justice based on Decree No. C-8270.HT.01.01.Th. 99 dated May 7, 1999. Dated June 4, 1999, published in the State. 45, Supplement No. 3283.
The scope of activities of the Bank is to run a general banking activities. On November 30, 1992, the Bank obtained a license to perform activities as a foreign exchange bank by the Board of Directors of Bank Indonesia No. SK. 25/67/KEP/DIR. In March 2004, the Bank began to conduct operations based on sharia principles based on Bank Indonesia No.6/39/DpbS Letter, dated January 13, 2004 on the principles of Islamic Bank opens a branch office in the Bank's commercial activity.
Bank's Articles of Association have been amended several times, and most recently based on Deed. 101 created by and before Notary Ny Poerbaningsih Adi Warsito, SH, Notary in Jakarta on 28 September 2007 on the Capital Additions to Rp1.500.000.000.000 and increase in capital that has been approved by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights Republic of Indonesia with No . C-04111.HT.01.04 of 2007 dated November 22, 2007.
Based on the results of the General Meeting of Shareholders on 26 April 2010, shareholders of Bank Capital Structure is currently 99.83% (Rp610.159.000.000) owned by the city government, while 0.17% (Rp1.000.000.000) owned by PD Pasar Jaya.

Capital City Bank focuses its activities on four main segments that provide opportunities for long-term sustainable growth, the consumer banking segment, the segment of commercial banking and mortgage banking segment and UMKM, as well as Islamic banking.
Consumer banking segment provides niche market in the form of Bank DKI teachers more than 200,000 customers, employees Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta amounting to more than 100,000 people in addition to continuous product development JakCard, among others as a means to pay Busway, pay at the network card Indomaret, and can later be used for payment of transport tickets at Electric Railway which connects Jakarta with several satellite cities. Looking ahead, JakCard will be used as payment of all transportation modes-a-DKI Jaya.
Segment of the commercial development segment focuses on the financing of public works and infrastructure development, particularly in the area of DKI Jaya, the core business of Bank DKI as the Regional Development Banks.
Mortgage & Housing segment focuses on the financing of Housing Credit both primary and secondary mortgage house credit program and cooperation with various institutions. Moreover, it also serves Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and the Bank DKI commitment in supporting the development of DKI Jaya program that also includes the economic empowerment of communities through the development of UMKM sector.
Islamic banking segment serves the needs of the community banking services to the benefits of Islamic sharia-based, it also fills one of the banking segment that is growing rapidly in recent years.
In order to ensure sustainable growth, Bank DKI continues to strengthen corporate governance, including internal control structure and risk management, and implementation of operating standards are more uniform and transparent.
